Texas Trails and Active Transportation Conference 2/1/12

When: Wednesday, Feb. 1 through Friday, Feb. 3, 2012

Where: At the San Antonio Riverwalk

Active Transportation is actively growing and includes hike and bike trails, bike lanes, urban pedestrian corridors, even paddling trails. Both governmental and private sector initiatives can be found in rural, suburban and city areas. Active Transportation encompasses recreational, work, school, shopping and civic destinations, as well as wellness focused activity.

Building on the very successful 2010 TTAT Conference in Austin where NCTAPA served as the sponsor for AICP CM eligible sessions, the Southwest Section of the Texas Chapter, APA will serve as the AICP CM sponsor for the February 2012 conference. Many sessions will be submitted soon to APA for AICP CM credits. The conference topics will cover a wide range of topics – planning, construction, funding, economics, operation, management, promotion and use of active transportation.
